Top Hat Stl1234 is busy in real life and may not respond swiftly to queries.

I'm currently busy with work. If you need something quick, your best bet is to ask others (try active people in Don't Starve Wiki:Administrators, Don't Starve Wiki:Custodians, or Don't Starve Wiki:Rollbacks). I'll be checking for messages once every few days.

Thanks for your awesome work for this wiki, and wish you good luck!

    • how can i know the number of saves for day 15 or any day so i can go back

        Loading editor
    • If you're on day 20, go back 5 rollbacks, then if you are not on day 15 yet, go back 1 save at a time until you reach day 15.

You may want to back up your save files before doing this as MMueck said.

  • On Fandom, advertisements are now becoming a problem, and don't make the experience user-friendly anymore. Corey from Klei has offered us help in migrating to a new platform if needed, and a discussion is now running. I'm gathering the main contributors on the Wiki to participate. Please share your suggestions and opinions in this thread. Thanks!

  • I don't understand how the "doe-eyed" comment makes sense in reference to No-Eyed Deer. Are you saying a developer said that?

I understand that No-Eyed sounds like doe-eyed, but that doesn't make it a pun because— A) Something without eyes cannot be doe-eyed. B) Describing a deer as having the eyes of a deer is tautological; you describe other things as being doe-eyed, not deer themselves.

    It's poor wording, at least.

      Loading editor
    • The deer is no-eyed, it isn't being described as doe eyed. So your "A" argument doesn't apply here.

It may be poor wording to say deer are called doe-eyed, feel free to update the wording. Maybe pun isn't the right word either. However, it makes more sense, as normal deer are doe-eyed (by tautology), and DS deer are no-eyed, referencing their lack of eyes and the normal deer. "No idea" does not make sense in the context, it also has zero supporting arguments for why that would be the intended reference, as opposed to doe-eyed, which is very obvious and direct.

    • To clarify, what I meant by point A is that there is no such relationship as that to justify the pun. But you have a point that the two interpretations are about equal in that regard…

      Okay, thanks.

  • Wilson is not the only one that says that when you examine the Friend-o-matic, every character says the same thing

  • I'm sure you know this, but in case you don't, you know that section names are not supposed to be in camel case right? (aka "This is a Section Name" should be "This is a section name") Per wiki-style.

      Loading editor
    • No. It isn't "CamelCase", but the titles in this wiki use "Title Case", instead of "Sentence case". You can see this in all articles, although there may be a few with problems.

Is there a generic wiki-style recommendation somewhere? Can you link that?

        Loading editor
    • All the articles on the main English Wikipedia are in "Sentence case". Sorry I don't have a link, but it's what the wiki-style is. If you go into any article on the main English Wikipedia, section names are all in "Sentence case".

    • Wikipedia is its own wiki, not related to this one. The titles were chosen this way (which I think makes sense) way before I was here. We don't have to follow the Wikipedia or any other wikis style, and this isn't the only difference.

What matters is the having the entire wiki to have a consistent look, since most sections are in title case trying to change this right now would create unnecessary work with questionable benefit.

  • The images on the Skins article cause massive slowdown for older browsers and computers with less processing power. The page will keep expanding with the addition of new skins. Is there something planned to reduce and optimize the loading & display size of the article in the upcoming future? I've made a same comment on [[User:Deiaa2002]]'s profile as well.

    • I don't think collapsible sections would help, since they seem to be collapsed after being loaded in the first place. I guess we can make each tier of skins a separate sub page, and link to them. Deiaa, what do you think?

        Loading editor
    • I can't seem to find a better solution. Separating Skin types into tab views seems to be the best solution.
