I've been playing don't starve for about 3-4 IRL days now. It's an amazing game, and i've been addicted to it. However, I feel like i'm doing something wrong. I'll post a couple of screenshots of my base.
My game slots (yes i have played classic but I die most of the time, so I delete the slots
So, um, any tips on what i should do with this base? Or any other tips about anything in the game?
Also, I know a good source of Manure, find a pig town r whatever its called and give them seeds or petals, and they will drop manure! the town i found even has a king! (im pretty sure you all know this source already lol)
EDIT: also, is there a discord or something based on DS?
Try building your base in an area with lots of resources like grass, twigs and possibly reeds (if you're lucky). Go to the caves, gather 4 Monster meat and at least a stack of Light Bulbs and feed the meat to a pig, then place the Lightbulbs on the ground and the Werepig will turn it all into Manure (It'll turn back to normal after a while if you can't kill it). And make a backpack and Log Suits/ Football Helmets. should be very helpful.
You only need 2 of them for a lantern, and still 3 stacks are too much for that. By the time the light bulbs grow back, i don't think you'll need 3 stacks of them, and there are still a lot more light flowers.
me and my friend made it. plant a tree next to a firepit (not a campfire) and stand under it while firepit burns. this should slow you getting wet for quiet a bit of time. you can also wear hats (they usually give 20% wetness protection. and if you are actually wet.. avoid wearing wet items, they lower your sanity drastically while you're wearing them. (that includes weapons too)
1. Gather Basics, pre-build a Alchemy Engine on your way, prototype Backpack and Shovel. (atleast) Then go explore the world, just the egde tho, so you know how big the world is and where the biomes are.
2. Build a base where it fits your playstyle the most. Lighthning Rod included. (explore for 9-12 days, that should be enough to cover the world edges)
3. Play until you one day inevitably die, and learn from that experience.
4. Now go make a new world and try again!
(if you're in sw don't explore the edge, just sail around for ~10days).
